About Ron Bartczak
Born, raised and educated in up state New York to parents who were artists (his father a watercolor and pastel artist, his mother a ceramist and potter.) Bartczak relocated to Southern California in the early 60's and formed his own advertising /marketing agency. Over the years he spent much of his time sailing around the world. He retired to Newport Beach, took up brush and paint and today is considered a leader in the field of Action Sport Art. Primarily known for his Exciting "Action Sailing Art" that depicts the excitement of present day international yacht racing and sailing, he has taken up the challenge to depict that same feeling of excitement in his paintings of the sport of POLO. Considered an expert in the application of counter force visualization, Bartczaks' art takes the viewer "along for the ride of his life". His art is collected by international sport figures,as well as corporate and private collectors world wide.
A former director of three national retail corporations and the principal partner in a major Los Angeles advertising Agency, Ron found time over the years to pursue his love of sailing. After thirty years of advertising and sailing, Ron retired, unable to find the type of sailing art he wanted, Ron picked up brush and paint and at the age of 71, began paintings sailing art as he thought it should be: WILD, EXCITING, and ACTION PACKED.
